Before You Book

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything I get asked before someone books. If you don't see your question here, reach out and I'll answer it myself.

Joining Solo & The Group
Can I come by myself?

Absolutely. Many people join group trips without knowing anyone else. I've done it myself, so I understand that showing up alone can feel intimidating. But you won't be treated like an outsider joining someone else's friend group.

The entire experience is designed to make it easy to connect naturally, and some of the strongest friendships begin with someone deciding to come solo.

What if I'm nervous about traveling with strangers?

That is completely normal. You are committing to an international trip with people you may have never met.

Before we travel, there will be opportunities to connect, ask questions, and begin getting to know one another. By the time we arrive, the group should feel a lot less like strangers and more like cousins meeting up at the family reunion.

Is this trip only for people who already know you?

Not at all. Some travelers have followed me online for years, some are previous photography clients or travelers, and others may have found me recently.

You do not need a personal relationship with me to join. Just come open to the experience and respectful of the people sharing it with you.

What age group is this trip for?

These trips are for adults, and you may see a mix of ages within the group. I care much more about your energy than your birth year.

If you enjoy new experiences, respect different personalities, and can travel without needing everyone to vacation exactly like you, you will probably fit right in.

What type of traveler is this experience best for?

This is for someone who wants to experience a destination without being responsible for planning every detail.

You want culture, good food, beautiful places, room for a side quest, and people to enjoy it with. You can appreciate a plan without needing every minute of your vacation scheduled.

How The Trip Works
Do I have to participate in every activity?

No. We are all adults, and everybody vacations differently. The itinerary gives us plenty to experience together, but this is still your vacation.

If you need a little time to rest, breathe, or explore something on your own, you have the freedom to do that. You do not need to feel pressured to attend every single moment, but I also encourage you to remain open to the experiences and connections that come with being part of the group.

The goal is to give you structure, community, and enough space to enjoy the trip in the way that feels best for you.

Will I have any free time?

Yes. The itinerary includes planned experiences, but there will also be opportunities to rest, explore, shop, book something on your own, or do absolutely nothing.

The exact amount of free time varies by travel day, so be sure to review the itinerary before booking.

Is this a party trip?

Not specifically. There may be nightlife, cocktails, dancing, or spontaneous late nights, but partying is not the entire point of the experience.

You can enjoy the nightlife without being pressured to attend, and you can skip it without feeling like you missed the whole trip.

What's Included & Flights
What exactly is included in the trip price?

Your trip includes:

  • Double occupancy in 4-star hotels, with a limited number of single rooms available for an additional cost
  • A local guide throughout the trip
  • All city transfers included in the itinerary
  • 6 breakfasts, 5 lunches, and 3 dinners
  • All activities listed on the itinerary

The trip price does not include:

  • International flights
  • Food and alcohol, except for the meals specifically listed above
  • Visas
  • Travel insurance
  • Airport transfers
  • Tips for guides
  • Personal purchases or optional activities
Are flights included?

International flights to and from the destination are not included in the trip price. This gives you the freedom to use points, choose your preferred airline, adjust your travel dates, or add time before or after the group trip.

If our itinerary requires a flight between cities during the official trip, that domestic or regional flight is included in the trip price.

You will receive the designated arrival and departure airports, along with the timing information needed before booking your international flight.

Can you help me understand which flight to book?

Yes. I will provide the designated arrival airport, departure airport, and timing guidelines for the group itinerary.

I can help you understand whether a flight fits those guidelines, but you are responsible for purchasing your ticket and confirming all flight details.

Please wait until the trip is confirmed and you have received the appropriate instructions before purchasing nonrefundable airfare.

Payment & Rooming
Do I need to pay for the entire trip at once?

Absolutely not! A 25% down payment reserves your spot, and you can pay the remaining balance over time. The trip just needs to be paid in full three months before departure so all final bookings and arrangements can be made.

If you would prefer to pay in full when booking, that is also an option. Payment plans are available for anyone who would rather spread the cost out over time.

Will I have a roommate?

The listed trip price is based on double occupancy. You may request a roommate when booking with a friend, or you can be matched with another traveler who also needs one.

A limited number of single rooms are available for an additional cost if you would prefer your own space.

What if I want to come with a friend or partner?

You are absolutely welcome to come with a friend or partner. Just make sure you both request one another as roommates when booking if you would like to share a room.

Personal Needs & Safety
What if I'm introverted or need time alone?

You do not have to be the loudest person in the room to belong here. Group travel includes a lot of social time, but you are allowed to recharge.

Communicate what you need, take a break when possible, and rejoin the group when you are ready. Quiet travelers are just as welcome as the ones who enter the group chat talking.

What if I have dietary restrictions, mobility concerns, or a medical condition?

Please review the itinerary honestly and communicate your needs before booking. I will share available information and ask local partners about reasonable accommodations, but every destination has different infrastructure, food preparation practices, and accessibility standards.

If a health, dietary, or mobility need could affect your ability to participate safely, contact us before reserving your spot so you can make an informed decision.

Is the destination safe?

No destination, including home, comes with a guarantee of complete safety. Trips are planned with experienced local partners, but every traveler must still use good judgment, follow local guidance, protect personal belongings, and remain aware of their surroundings.

I will share relevant expectations and safety information, but you are ultimately responsible for your personal decisions while traveling.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be required for certain trips. A good policy may help with unexpected medical needs, delays, interruptions, lost luggage, or cancellations, depending on the coverage you purchase.

I have an annual travel insurance policy that I use and would be happy to share the information with you. You should still review the coverage carefully and choose the policy that best fits your health, flights, trip cost, and personal circumstances.

Booking & Cancellations
What happens if I book and later cannot attend?

If the trip is still pending and has not been confirmed, you will receive a full refund.

For a confirmed trip, cancellations made 91 days or more before departure will receive a future travel credit for the 25% down payment, minus a $100 cancellation fee. Any additional payments made beyond the down payment will be refunded.

Cancellations made within 90 days of departure are entirely nonrefundable. This is one of the reasons travel insurance is strongly recommended.
